Scott Riggs Website

Scott Riggs began racing motocross before making the move to stock cars.

At age 17, Riggs began his ascent up the NASCAR ladder in the Mini-Stock Division. He won 12 times in three seasons before moving to Late Models.

His success continued with two Late Model track championships at Southern National Speedway in Kenly, N.C. He was one of the Mid-Atlantic Region's top drivers, compiling 60 Late Model victories in his career.

Riggs made his Craftsman Truck Series debut in August 1999, finishing 19th at Indianapolis Raceway Park. In 17 races in 2000, Riggs registered one top-five and eight top-10s.

In 2001 Riggs competed in his first full season. He won five times and posted 14 top-fives and 16 top-10s in 24 races. He had only one DNF and led the point standings for much of the season. He also won five poles and finished fifth in the final championship standings.

In 2002 Riggs made the move to the Busch Series, where he recorded two victories, eight top-fives and 13 top-10s to finish 10th in points and earn top rookie honors.

He enjoyed another good Busch season in 2003, winning twice with 11 top-fives and 17 top-10s to finish sixth in points.

In 2004 Riggs made his Cup debut and ran 35 of the 36 races that season. He finished fifth in June at Dover and had one other top-10 in the No. 10 Chevrolet of MBV Motorsports.

In 2005 Riggs had two top-fives and four top-10s and in April scored his first career Bud Pole, at Martinsville.

In 2006 Riggs drove the No. 10 Dodge for Ray Evernham.
